In particular, it is proposed to consider the corrupt behavior of the population through representation in the search queries of Internet users. In this study, we analyzed the statistics of the requests submitted in two systems Yandex Wordstat and Google Trends. The study selected the most relevant search queries reflecting the potential corrupt behavior of the Russian population in the period from 2019 to 2024. Based on the data obtained, calendar trends in the growth of popularity of relevant search queries reflecting corrupt behavior were identified. Ranking by popularity of queries related to the topic of corruption in general made it possible to identify the following groups of queries that concern the population: anti-corruption measures, regulatory inquiries about the legislative framework, theoretical queries, what constitutes corruption, bribery, etc., cognitive queries related to current corruption scandals. The analysis of the general array of queries with the keyword "bribe" allows us to identify three popular groups: firstly, Internet users are looking for information on how to properly give bribes, what can act as a bribe, to whom and how to give it, which directly represents their potential corrupt behavior; secondly, users are interested in measures of responsibility for these actions; and further in popularity there are requests concerning the essence of a bribe, what is the difference between a gift and a bribe (for example, up to what amount a gift is considered a gift). Also, as a result of the conducted research, a positive correlation was revealed between the statistics of user requests on the Internet and the real corrupt behavior of the population, which confirmed the possibility of using this method to study the real corrupt behavior of the population.
