Abstract

Modern processes occurring in the national consciousness of the indigenous population of Gorny Altai - Altaians are considered. of the indigenous population of the Altai Mountains - the Altaians. It is pointed out that the modern stage of national self-consciousness can be labelled as ethnosophical, claiming to create its own national philosophy. creation of its own national philosophy. The attempt to express national philosophy should be considered a sign of a young ethnos, which seeks to manifest itself in the intellectual sphere. itself in the intellectual sphere. It is noted that ethnosophy does not represent a philosophical knowledge, but is a kind of mythological thinking that is devoid of reflection and oriented not towards reflection and reasonable evaluation, but towards living and acting. living and acting.
