The comparison concerns three points: the doctrine of the beginning or cause, the doctrine of number, and the doctrine of motion. It is concluded that despite the formal dependence of Michael Psellus on the texts of his predecessor, the thinker of the 11th century offers a fundamentally different triadological and anthropological model based on Neoplatonic metaphysics, primarily on Proclus’ teaching about henades.
