The project is unique for Russia and has been implemented on the basis of the ISEPN of the FNSC RAS since 1967. Such a longitudinal study makes it possible to study the socio-economic indicators characterizing the life of the population of one city in dynamics. The final iteration of the project was carried out in 2014. As a result, unique data were obtained in order to identify the impact of modernization processes on the daily lives of people within the households of a particular city. Within the framework of the claimed author's research, the task of assessing the degree of influence of the "family" factor on the success of an individual was solved. Based on econometric modeling, the authors identified certain patterns and the degree of influence of individual components on such a concept as "individual success" and his satisfaction with the quality of life. It is proved that in modern conditions, success is influenced by many factors. 7 main factors were identified for modeling based on data verification. According to the selected groups of variables, the calculated average success rate was 3.45, and the integral, taking into account correlation analysis, was 4.84. It should be emphasized that of all the factors, the value of the "Family" factor has a dominantly high value equal to 4.11, since it is the family in its broadest sense that society perceives as an opportunity for self–realization, as well as as an institution that allows for individual (subjective) protection, satisfaction and self-confidence, its orientations, attitudes. These issues have always been topical.
