Abstract

The article presents the main vectors of the economic and demographic history of the Chinese northeastern city of Shenyang during the first five-year plans after the founding of the PRC, the implementation of the policy of "reforms and openness", modernization and transformation of Chinese society at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries. The author traces the influence of the dynamics of the general state Chinese policy on changes in the national economic complex of Shenyang and the situation of the population of this northeastern city.
