This situation necessitates a substantial mobilization of specialized organizations within the healthcare system and society at large, involving non-profit organ-izations in the effort to combat this public health challenge. The present study is based on a survey of 3,752 individuals engaged in high-risk behaviors that contribute to the spread of the virus – clients of a specialized non-profit organiza-tion. Among the surveyed population, 9.2 % were found to be living with HIV. As part of innovative measures to combat the epidemic, a communication-based method has been implemented in Moscow and the Moscow region, focusing on the identification of partners of HIV-positive individuals. This approach plays a critical role in the overall detection of newly infected persons and facilitates timely initiation of treatment for those diagnosed. In conclusion, the findings underscore the importance of employing new strategies in addressing the HIV epidemic, particularly within high-risk social groups. Enhanced communication and partnership identification methods can significantly contribute to improv-ing public health outcomes and controlling the spread of HIV infection in the region.
