The project studies young people's views on Russia's modern domestic and foreign policy, their main sources of information and communication in this area, their ideological and political preferences, and their electoral activity. The article analyzes the role of self-assessment of the living conditions and the level of family income in the process of political socialization of students. The study looks at how Russian youth views their political system and its main institutions. Self-presentation of the level of material well-being is considered as an important indicator of the manifestation of latent value-ideological attitudes in the process of forming ideological and political sympathies. The study shows that how students rate their chances of influencing politics is linked to how loyal they are to the current system. The social base of modern Russia and its features are analyzed using the example of student youth. The conclusion is substantiated on the preferential support of the established state-political system and the dominant vector of the country's development by young people with high or medium incomes.
