Abstract

The monograph is dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Russian sociologist Anatoly Vasilievich Dmitriev, one of the founders of the Russian school of conflictology. A number of its theoretical and methodological provisions are taken by the authors of this monograph as methodological tools for analyzing the socio-political conflict of our time. In particular, he pointed out the fundamental feature of any social conflict, which is the presence of one form or another of contradiction. At the same time A. V. Dmitriev noted that any social conflict is not just a contradiction that has arisen between certain subjects, but a contradiction that they have realized and appreciated. However, it is precisely the complexity factor of a complex conflict that has demonstrated the influence of socio-cultural, economic, social and other conflict processes that otherwise fill the subject matter of political conflicts with appropriate content, significantly contrasting the concept of democracy and democratic values in the "Russian dimension" with Western standards. This is Anatoly Vasilyevich's invaluable contribution to the development of the Russian science of conflictology.
