Abstract

The article presents the multicultural environment of Azerbaijan, the origins of which go back to ancient times. The authors emphasize the influence of demographic processes on the enrichment of the multicultural environment of Azerbaijan in the period of modern history, when, as a result of the resettlement policy of the Russian Empire in the first third of the 19th century, new ethnic groups appeared on the lands of Azerbaijan north of the Araz River - Germans and Russians, who left their mark on the history of the country. The article also mentions the activities of Azerbaijani benefactors of capitalist Baku, which made possible the synthesis of Western and Eastern cultures and brought color to the unique multicultural environment of Azerbaijan.
