Youth and profession

Abstract

The chapter presents the results of the study estimates the attractiveness of professions high school graduates of the Novosibirsk region. A comparison of the scale of assessments received in 2013 with data of similar surveys of previous decades has revealed the dynamics of today's youth in relation to world trade. It has been shown that students of different generations remain committed to a profession, implying higher education. At the same time the trend of recent decades is the growth of the indifferent attitude to the profession as a whole, resulting in a decrease in scores of their appeal. This phenomenon can be interpreted as an adaptation  of the young to the growing uncertainty, the unpredictability of the conditions that determine their entry into active life.
