Engineering Ethics and the University: how is it possible to educate ethical engineer?

Abstract

Engineering ethics is a specific moral case and needs to be understood as central in the curriculum of technical universities. It could be interpreted normatively and descriptively. The whole cycle is divided into four stages, correspondingly moving students step-by-step from the role of distant observer to participative reflection. Ethical imagination is a core principle in understanding professional ethical context of higher education, covering the whole space of the university doxa.
