Abstract

The article based on the analysis of data collected by the authors during expedition in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol in the summer of 2015, deals with the problems of integration of new entities - the Crimea and Sevastopol - in the institutional and socio-cultural environment of Russia. The authors, based on the concept of ‘third sociology’, activist approach, the theory of cultural injury, revealed the possibility of further development of the Crimean society. The article raises a wide range of issues: cultural, ideological, political, legal, economic, etc. in terms of their impact on social development. It is shown that the population of the Crimea and Sevastopol in particular feels as a part of Russia society and sees the reunion of March 2014 as the restoration of historical justice. It specifies that both new subjects of the Russian Federation, significantly differed in social and cultural terms, has much in common with the regions of the “big” Russian, the authors studied previously. In their opinion this proves that the social and cultural context of the Russian province is generated not by the peculiarities of the institutional environment but by the deep historical reasons.
