New drug situation in russia - stabilization or transformation?

Abstract

The article considers the contemporary drug situation in Russia. Medical and crime statistics were observed and investigated, the results of two online surveys examining people's attitudes to drugs were analyzed. The research has revealed the transformation of normative beliefs about drugs in various social groups in Russia and has showed how popular a loyal attitude to drugs and various kinds of psychoactive substances among the population today. A number of positive and negative trends of modern drug situation have been identified. The gradual transition from the ambivalent attitude towards drugs to neutral and positive has been fixed.
