To the question of the research of the level and quality of life of the elderly: problems and prospects

Abstract

The author analyzes the experience in research of the level and quality of life of the l population in general and elderly people in particular. Examples of regular surveys and occasional surveys on the level and quality of life, as well as specific research projects aimed at studying the level and quality of life of older Muscovites. In addition, demonstrated the role of state and government to draw attention to the problems of the elderly, the legislative consolidation of this type of research in the Russian Federation. They also illustrate some of the results of the public authorities (in particular the system of social protection of the population of Moscow) on development of methods, the organization and carrying out complex monitoring of level and quality of life of citizens of advanced age, including elderly Muscovites.
