Abstract

In last year the phenomenon of the new Russian conservatism was described in details by L. Byzov. The year, passed after the publication of the material, did not bring any fundamentally new aspects of this phenomenon, but added some important aspects to the understanding of the features and prospects of the basic transformation processes in Russia. That is especially important in the context of the on-going post-Crimean syndrome and of the growing social and economic crisis. Although the conservative trend itself didn't changed its direction, this trend reached the limit (or at least became close to its limit) and its dynamics was tend to be slowed down by objective factors. The political compass' needle, having crossed a certain border, began to oscillate and to send controversial signals, while the politically excited public opinion, responding to this contradiction, slowly but surely was getting cold and going back to its usual circle of concerns, that are far from the ideas of Russian world, spiritual ties and traditional values.
