Social aspects of the preparation of preschool workers in Russia

Abstract

The research is centered on the analysis of the social and professional standing of preschool teachers in the context of their relations with the state and consumers of their services. The data comes from the historical analysis and interviews with experts in Moscow, Samara and Syktyvkar. The results of the research show that the current reform of education oriented towards professionalism of preschool teachers has not been successful so far. The professional community is dissatisfied with the reduced autonomy in their practice.
