An information society: the challenge for Russia

Abstract

The article explores the issue of informational society shaping, its challenges and the methods of analysis. The article is written in the frames of interdisciplinary and problem-oriented approach. Epistemology, time, space and the issue of trust, the inequalities and injustices of informational society, virtual community as a secondary reality, its ‘goods’ and ‘bads’, transformations of ‘primary eco-structure’, and foreseeable future are the main topics of the article. The author concludes that the informational sociology is not only a new branch of science but the field and prospect for an interdisciplinary analysis and social practice.
