Abstract

The global challenges that face modern cities are under the consideration in the article, and how do they influence the intellectual search and justification of the theory of sustainable development. Modern discussions and public debates do not lead us the the common understading of the concept. But sharing common values rediscover the global need for civilizational transit to more sustainable models of city developmen.
