Abstract

The article is devoted to the theoretical views of the greatest Italian philosopher B. Croce, whose ideas about the ethical state and the rise of politics to ethics have acquired special relevance in the context of the modern crisis of all ideologies, deep moral crisis and the society's need for moral renewal. In the Croce concept, the ethical state is above the political one and subordinates all other forms of association. Politics for him - only a means to achieve moral life, education of a moral person. The transition from politics to ethics and the relationship between them is achieved through the elevation of a person to a moral life.
