Abstract

The chapter considers state environmental policy and functions of modern nature protection structures. It shows special features of Russian environmental policy that is determined by Russian environment where the wild nature ecosystems play the principal role. Strategic goals and main directions of the activity of nature protection power structures are determined within the context of their influence  on environmental consciousness of Russian people.
