Analysis of the concept of ideology in its modern existence, primarily assessing the geopolitical dimensions of the current situation in Russia, which reflects a complex combination of elements of different geopolitical models - both foreign and Russian specific. Noting that the Russian strategy of geopolitics in terms of social and cultural change finally happened, the author insists on the necessity of its speedy development taking into account the interests of all citizens of the country, its geographical diversity and cultural differences that will contribute to the consolidation of Russian society on the basis of the best samples of national culture.
