Abstract

In this article, we analyze the features of the formation of citizenship and civic identity in Russia. The methodological basis for their study was the principles of historical and scientific researchers. Authors in the article note that in the modern Russian discourse of citizenship there is a rather extensive presentation field, which includes many approaches in which citizenship concepts acquire, on the one hand, their own specifics and paradigmatic limitations on the other hand. As a result, disciplinary discursive practices in Russia lose the notion of citizenship as a holistic social phenomenon. In this regard, there is a cognitive need for the development of a multidimensional methodological construct for the holistic study of citizenship in Russia.
