Abstract

The article presents the results performed by the sector of Sociology of science and innovation, sociological Institute in 2015-2016 research project Trends of human capital in scientific-educational and socio-labor fields, state job No. 01201264173, section the Influence of institutional reforms in Russian science on the research capacity of scientific personnel ran. Networking in academic institutions are considered as one of the elements of the research potential of the scientific personnel. This article describes a theoretical approach to the study of networking in the research Institute and the results of empirical research, which was conducted 42 in-depth interviews with staff from 6 research institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences in St. Petersburg. The article analyzes the results of the study, including: cooperation with international scientific organizations and participation in international research projects; participation in international scientific networks; cooperation with Russian scientific organizations; scientific staff access to databases of scientific data, online versions of scientific journals; the presence of institutes of internal networks dissemination of information; participation of scientific staff in correspondence with the employees of Russian and foreign scientific organizations; the use of social scientific networks; the participation of staff members of RAS institutes in the expert community; participation of the institutions and their employees in online seminars, conferences, round tables; assessment by staff of the institutes to participate effectively in network forms of scientific activity. Conclusions about the main trends of the participation of institutes and their staff in the networking research activities.
