Abstract

The experiences of the totalitarian construction of the citizen through violence and indoctrination are under the examination in the article. Both historical contexts have much in common, but politically and culturally they were crucially different.  Both experiences based on coservative traditions in civic didactics of 19-20-th centuries. But as a result soviet systeme appealed to left wing civic knowledge and nation-state mobilization, where as nazi - to the right wing ideology and rasist practices. Thus, instruments of the education for the citizenship in both contexts were highly similar, meanwhile the substance of the indoctrination - distinctively different.
