Abstract

The article considers the evaluation of interethnic relations in the Rostov region, which was recorded by sociological research conducted by the leading regional sociological centers in 2016-2017. Empirical evidence suggests, on the one hand, positive trends in the sphere of interethnic interaction, on the other hand, about the socio-economic conditioning of conflict potential in a number of territories in the Rostov region. The article concludes that there is a need to ensure at the regional level the tasks to reduce the level of social and property inequality and improve the quality of life of the population, which corresponds to the main priorities of the Strategy of the State National Policy of the Russian Federation until 2025 as a condition for harmonizing inter-ethnic relations and ensuring national security of the country.
