Abstract

The collective monograph written by Russian and foreign researchers is devoted to the analysis of the problem of social differentiation in education and, through the prism of education, in Russia. The main attention of the authors is focused on the processes occurring in the education system, educational results and their impact on labor market outcomes. A multidisciplinary perspective on the problem of differentiation in the context of the educational system is proposed, and various aspects of inequality and social differentiation are covered. The authors consider such factors of differentiation as the social class, cultural capital, regional and territorial differences in the provision of resources - at the level of organizations, individuals, communities and families. Their research encompasses diverse levels of education and educational contexts: pre-school, school, higher education, complementary education and family education.
