Abstract

In the material the problem of employment in the Russian Federation within the framework of the ILO concept Decent work is investigated. The causes of unemployment and non-standard forms of employment are identified, the foreign experience (Eric Brynjolfsson, Makafi), relevant for solving this problem, is given. The possible influence and consequences of technological progress and robotization on the labor market in the Russian Federation are considered. Obviously, the rationalization of production does not in itself guarantee increased employment, skills, health and income, but rather, it leads to job losses, the devaluation of professional qualifications, simplification and tight regulation of the work process, and increased workload. In this regard, the article suggests the directions of combating unemployment and increasing the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of employment of the able-bodied population.
