Abstract

Various approaches in the scientific community to understanding diasporas / compatriots are considered. There are two types of diasporas / compatriots in modern Russian society: old-timer and new, their features are revealed. The prospects for integration of different diasporas / communities with the host community are determined, as well as their role in strengthening the country's security.
