Abstract

This article examines the results of foreign and domestic sociological studies of intergenerational mobility in contemporary Russian society. The main aspects of this process are singled out, which have become the subject of cognitive interest of sociologists: conditions, factors, strategies and trends of intergenerational mobility (at macro and micro levels). The author notes the absence among researchers of unambiguous conclusions about the specifics of this process in modern Russia, as well as the existence of cognitive lacunae. This allows us to form a problem field for further sociological research on this topic.
