Abstract
In the monograph on the basis of the results of the all-Russian sociological study, the experience of the organization of patriotic education in Russian universities is analyzed. The meaning of the concept of patriotism in the views of modern students and its place in everyday social practices is revealed, institutional practices of patriotic upbringing in the higher education system and their correspondence to the expectations of Russian student youth are examined, as well as expert assessments of the organization of patriotic upbringing in the system of higher education and its prospects . The monograph is intended for sociologists, teachers, managers in the field of youth policy and specialists involved in the organization of patriotic education in the system of higher education. And also to all those who are interested in the problems of contemporary Russian youth.
