Abstract

The article continues the analysis of innovations in the organization of medical care for groups affected by drug disorders. The changes relate to early detection of the consequences of the abuse of alcohol in patients seeking  help in the clinic or medical center concerning somatic diseases - heart, internal organs, blood, etc. To work with them  additional diagnostic techniques (special tests) and motivational counselling are used. In this article, the topic was developed in the regional aspect - how to work with patients and improve the skills of doctors, touched upon the issues of medical secrecy and social pressure. The number of identified patients aimed at in-depth motivational counseling and seeking narcological treatment vary greatly by region. The reasons for these differences require further study.
