Abstract

The question of the training of research personnel in modern Russia is of particular importance. It is about expanding the scope of research work in various sectors of the economy and the formation of a stable layer of highly qualified specialists engaged in research activities. The article focuses on the specifics of the training of researchers in high school. Based on the results of a representative sociological survey, the motives, possibilities and limitations of the participation of students and graduate students in scientific research are analyzed. As a theoretical and methodological basis, a set of provisions focusing on the interrelationships of various aspects of research activities was used. It has been shown, despite the positive changes in recent years, a whole range of problems preventing the influx and consolidation of young people in the research field remains unresolved.
