Abstract

In the article, based on the results of a representative sociological survey, the place of education in the system of values ​​and vital priorities of Russians is explored. A theoretical and methodological basis is a set of provisions, emphasizing the importance of individual preferences students and the practical feasibility of education. It is concluded that the value of education is largely determined by the participation of the population in various practices of formal and non-formal education.
