Abstract

The article deals with the issue of motivation in education and vocational choice of the graduates of secondary vocational schools. The article is based on the materials of the sociological survey of the Institute of Sociology of Russian Academy of Sciences (2014) and on statistical data. According to the research data, the students of secondary vocational schools are mainly motivated to continue their education in higher education institutions and consider the system of secondary vocational education as an auxiliary stage of their professional trajectories.
