Abstract

The article deals with theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of socio-cultural adaptation of immigrants and ways of their entry into the cultural environment of Russian society. The analysis of methodological principles of research and construction of tools for the collection of empirical data, the concept of the cultural process in three stages: adaptation – identification – integration. The specific data of these processes are given, and the hypothesis of the research is formulated, the context of immigrants ' life activity is characterized as the basis of the program sociological study of the process of entering this population group into the cultural environment of the Russian society.
