Abstract

This article examines the problem of developing methodology and research tools in sociology and other humanities. Based on the classification of methodological paradigms proposed by Zhan Toshchenko, author shows that the constructive paradigm has a great heuristic potential for studying the social realities of contemporary Russia, in which the shortcomings inherent in the traditional analytical model are overcome. The author concluded that the national sociological school should avoid the extremes of autarky, but also not to adopt methodological concepts based on the analysis of other types of societies without first assessing its heuristic potential.
