Abstract

The article treats the pedagogical and scholarly activities of Vladimir Ivanovich Lamansky at the St.-Petersburg University from 1865 to 1871. It shows his orientation on the Slavophiles in teaching Slavic studies. The list of lectures is adduced, which Lamansky held at the St.-Petersburg University from 1867 to 1899. Basing on the scholar’s correspondence, the author demonstrates some specific features of Lamansky’s work on his doctoral thesis, which was defended in 1871.
