In the modern digital information world, these children demonstrate mosaic thinking, digital amnesia, functional illiteracy and the lack of social skills. All these factors become an obstacle to studies in traditional school settings. The research objective is to show that conceptual thinking need to be formed at the preschool period as an alternative to mosaic thinking. The research object is Tamara Lombina’s Preschool Program Chitaika based on play. The study shows that the 2015-2017 program graduates have well-developed cognitive processes and are ready to study in traditional school settings. The group averages of speech development and conceptual (intuitive, logical, verbal, visual) thinking of Chitaika graduates match the high level of school readiness while the control group children demonstrate an average level of school readiness.
