Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of changes that have occurred with the institution of political parties on an international scale. Examines such items as the influence of modern development trends on the ideology and functions of social democratic parties; problems of Western countries related to the entry of Internet parties in general and “pirated” parties in particular; changes in the political space of the Federal Republic of Germany as a result of the elections to the Bundestag (2013) and the tasks thus set for the country's parties; the direction of evolution of the party systems of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, the similarities and differences of these evolutions, etc .; the ratio of the transformation of the party and electoral legislation of Ukraine and the political situation in the country.
