Abstract

Current transformations of higher education and universities are under the consideration. As the global world is moving towards sustainable development it provokes the new agenda for education - substantially and institutionally. Education for sustainable development - its new focus and prospect for transformation. Contrary to the common view that such a movement is possible primarily around natural sciences and technologies, the author argues, that the correct appeal should be done strongly to social sciences and humanities. Sustainable stories are basically organised as apllied ethics cases. Further didactics and rationalizations of these stories will reform programs of higher education and its instituional shape.
