Abstract

The article represents some sociological aspects of the research of the occupational dynasties in Russia. We identify dynasties (intergenerational occupational mobility) as a resource of human capital and an educational strategy that have some positive functions, such as reproduction of human resources, knowledge transfer, values transfer, etc. and some negative functions, e.g. nepotism and dependency. Relying on the new qualitative data of 2018-2019 we analyze influence of family labor traditions and occupational dynasties on the formation of human capital and educational strategy.
