Abstract

The article identifies the main approaches to the analysis of modern political processes and ideological movements on the example of Russian conservative liberalism. It is noted that over the years of discussions, the actively used concept of “liberalism” belongs to those concepts, the content of which, despite apparent evidence, remains not quite definite. In this regard, it is clear the formation of theoretical and practical interest in the Russian version of conservative liberalism, relying on such core values as traditions, continuity, stability, which provide gradual reform. It is emphasized that in the process of adaptation of the historically determined values of the Russian society to the modern socio-political reality, the conservative component of the liberal model of society is actualized.Pluralism remains a feature of modern political science. It is also presented in pedagogical models of various variants of political science courses, which represent material that reveals the essence, features and significance of this science, and introduces the main stages of its development. At the same time, acquaintance with the history of political ideas, teachings and movements is not only of historical value, but also important for understanding the political problems of our time.
