Abstract

Inequality is one of the key problems of modern society. It affects all groups of the population, but mostly young people who enter and seek to gain a foothold in the labour market. The study shows that children of parents with higher education have significant advantages in employment. They are more likely to work in accordance with the received profession and earn on average a higher income than children from families where parents have secondary education. A common problem for young job-seekers is the shortage of jobs, which leads to an increasing number of graduates of universities, colleges and schools resorting to the help of parents, friends and acquaintances when applying for a job. Having the necessary cultural capital, children of educated parents expand the area of job search as well as foreign labor markets.
