Abstract

In the countries of Western Europe and the USA, a diversified system of additional professional education (APE) is functioning in law enforcement systems without a centralized model typical of Russia, which increases the possibility of using the existing variety of forms of training for law enforcement officers. The article presents a sociological analysis of foreign experience in this field, in the aspect of consideration and justification of the possibilities and limitations of its use in order to increase the effectiveness of APE for employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation.
