Abstract

The article attempts to formulate questions about the relationship betweeninternational migration and migrant entrepreneurship in the process of economic development of a number of countries actively accepting migrants. The first part of the article presents some statistics on international migration in the United States and in the EU countries. It is shown that international migration is one of the mechanisms for solving problems of the labor market in the country of destination, including through the entrepreneurial activity of the migrants themselves. Statistical data on the higher proportion of self-employed among migrants and their contribution to the economies of host countries are given. In the second part, attention is paid to the role of international migration in Post-soviet Russia, the place and role of the entrepreneurial activity ofmigrants. In conclusion, the need for a comprehensive interdisciplinary comparative study of the international migrants entrepreneurship in Russia is emphasized.
