Abstract

The article is devoted to analysis of demographic characteristics of regional social space of the Volga Federal District on the basis of sociological and statistical data regional inequalities and disproportions of social and economic development of regions of the Volga Federal District, a conclusion that assessment by the population of a situation at the place of residence is in many respects caused by the local and territorial factor “baring” depth and scale of inequalities is proved. The article is focused on the fact, that the remaining and reproduced disproportions of social and economic development of subjects of Volga federal district are not accidental, rather stable at all and represent the certain self-replicating system forming in various local and territorial communities in regions specifi c set of factors of social tension. Authors off er the indexes allowing to construct hierarchy of subjects of Volga federal district on the main socio-economic indexes. Special attention in article is paid to infl uence of the migration fl ows on a condition of the sphere of work enhancing risks of negative scenarios of development of the interethnic relations which are caused by presence within specifi c local and territorial community of the ethnic groups competing with representatives of the accepting community. Authors make a conclusion that the policy on smoothing of regional disproportions pursued by the state is insuffi ciently eff ective, selective and poorly infl uences process of their social and economic development, promoting not only preservation, but also deepening of essential interregional distinctions.
