Abstract

The article is devoted to the modern migration policy towards immigrants and their socio-cultural adaptation. The author denotes the General theoretical basis for the study of the social phenomenon of migration and practical steps in this direction in the context of the implementation of the state national policy and the program of social and cultural adaptation of migrant workers. The article focuses on the problem points in the migration policy, taking into account the need to support the legal level of social and cultural adaptation of not only adult migrant workers, but their children. It emphasizes the need for adaptation measures both for migrants themselves and for the indigenous population of the host society in relation to migrants. Attention is focused on the need to support adaptation measures by the state not only in the legal, but organizational and financial 33 plane.
