Abstract

This article attempts to analyze the features of the development of the North Caucasian border areas. The growing problems expressed in such indicators as the level and quality of life of the population on the border, distrust of power structures, reduced life satisfaction, degradation of socio-cultural potential, etc. This is updated in the context of new challenges, including those associated with various geopolitical changes. The border area is not limited to the geopolitical situation, it is characterized by the peculiarities of the territorial community with their attitudes, value orientations, perceptions, perceptions and assessments of what is happening, as well as their activities, ensuring both the processes of inter-country cooperation and the stability and security of borders.
