The authors examined the experience of the formation of the social space of the European Community, showing the general and special in the European social model. The main models of the social policy of European states are considered: the “Nordic”, “continental”, “island”, “Mediterranean” and European system of classification of social problems. A similar classification of social problems can be demanded in the EAEU countries when determining indicators and indicators of the effectiveness of social policy, identifying recipients of social assistance, etc. In favor of the formation of a single European social model, there are common values shared by all national social policy models in countries EU Objective factors such as the presence of a common economic and currency space, similar socio-demographic trends, the development of globalization and information technology processes, requiring changes in the forms of work organization and increasing requirements for labor mobility not only contribute to the development of a common social model in the EU, but also they contain potential obstacles to the effectiveness of European social policy. Thus, EU integration in the field of social policy is lagging behind the economic, monetary and even political convergence of the European space. Based on the analysis of the EU social model, conclusions are drawn about the prospects for building a Eurasian social space and a unified social policy of the EAEU. Taking into account the European experience, including the mistakes made in management, migration policy, the interaction of the Brussels “Eurocenter” with the governments of national states, becomes important when building the integration policy in the EAEU. In a research sense, this will make it possible to draw up a system of cause-and-effect relationships between factors and dominant concepts chosen to assess integration aspects.
