Abstract

The use of materials from a survey of the Federal State Statistics Service of the RF in 2016 on a nationwide representative sample of the employment of graduates of higher education in 2010-2015 allowed us to analyze the various indicators of this group entering the labor market: work during the learning period, terms and methods of job search, distribution among the groups of people who searched / did not look for work after graduation, and among them - those who were employed / not employed. The study of processes of applying the higher education on the labor market is based on the analysis of the indicators of correspondence between the work performed by graduates and the obtained specialty, qualification level; Comparisons of those employed by specialty / not by specialty regarding groups of obtained professions, as well as regarding groups of statuses acquired during employment. The most important indicators of the situation on the labor market at the time of the survey: employment rate, unemployment rate, average wage in general and by occupation group were considered.
